Chief Executive Officer
Patrick is an accomplished enterpriser and business owner with a particular strength in finance and M&A. Previously a partner in a consulting firm with a focus on indigenous engagement and partnerships, he has continued to work closely with indigenous groups, large industries, and governments across Northern Canada.
Since joining the security sector, Patrick has held various senior management and executive roles in operations and business management. Patrick joined Scarlet serving as Vice President, then led Scarlet Security & Risk Group as President, eventually becoming SSRG’s CEO and majority owner. As the creative force behind the company’s strategic approach to meaningful indigenous engagement and integrated enterprise solutions, Patrick has worked with key executives to promote and build a first-in-class leadership team and group of subject matter experts.
Patrick has a results-focused approach, eliminating the need for his teams to be bound by traditional hierarchical models. He tackles business challenges with a solutions-first mindset, and a practical and direct methodology designed to quickly unearth issues and achieve results, making him well recognized and respected by both peers and clients.
Patrick has volunteered on numerous charitable boards and community non-profit organizations—including organizations such as Stanton Territorial Hospital Foundation—and has also served as President on chambers of commerce and community small business investment fund boards.
Chief Operating Officer
Owen has 25 years of experience in public safety and security. He started his career with the BC Corrections Branch, later joined the RCMP, and ultimately held senior positions in death investigation and police oversight in the BC Ministry of Justice before leaving government in 2015. Prior to joining Scarlet, Owen led the Pacific Region for a large, multi-national security provider. Owen holds a Master of Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University and completed an executive program for senior government leaders at Harvard University.
Chief Financial Officer
Jacqueline brings 8 years of corporate experience in finance and sales with publicly traded companies along with a decade of pivotal banking and strategic leadership, including 7 years at the forefront of driving growth across Western Canada for both Wells Fargo and CIBC. Her expertise is anchored in the optimization of working capital and the cultivation of resilient client relationships across various industries in the large corporate space and provincial government entities. With an MBA from York University’s Schulich School of Business and a BA in Communications from Simon Fraser University, Jacqueline is further distinguished by her role as a Board Member at the Association of Finance Professionals (Vancouver). Her comprehensive background embodies a blend of financial finesse, insightful strategy, and an active involvement in the finance community.
Executive Vice President, Strategic Initiatives
Mark has extensive strategic and operational experience locally, nationally, and internationally in risk, security, emergency management & enterprise recovery and human safety.
Most recently he served as the Chief Safety and Risk Officer for a university campus of 40,000 faculty, students and staff. His professional experience includes Director of International Operations for a large consulting firm, Program Director at the Police Academy, Justice Institute of British Columbia responsible for public policy research and training standards development for non-police professionals involved in regulatory compliance.
In support of the United Nations Mark has worked on risk, human security and state capacity development projects in Southeast Asia, the Caribbean, Arabian Gulf, Middle East and East Africa.
Mark has also consulted with the United Nations Office on Drugs & Crime on the development of global standards for the civilian private security industry.
Executive Vice President, Risk Management & Specialized Services
Rob has 32 years experience in law enforcement and the security industry. He started his career with the RCMP where most of his career was spent working in major crimes in British Columbia and with major events out of Ottawa. Rob was an accredited Team Commander for major crime investigations and was one of the first Integrated Homicide Investigations Team (IHIT) investigators assigned to the unit.
He migrated to Major Events and the 2010 Olympics where he was the File Coordinator and managed multiple units in operations support. He worked closely with federal government departments in strategically delivering various major events in Canada.
Before leaving the RCMP, Rob successfully completed his commissioned officer boards and served as a senior manager with the Drug Enforcement Branch.
Rob left the RCMP to join BC Hydro Corporate Security. In his tenure at BC Hydro Rob held the positions of security operations manager, senior manager security and Chief Security Officer. He was tasked with taking the team from governance focused to a fully operational team, strategically planning and delivering the security program for BC Hydro. Rob was accountable for the creation of the Security Command Center, Security Intelligence Program, Law Enforcement Liaison, Threat Risk Assessment teams, expanding access control, Internal and Corporate Investigations and managed the large Integrated Security Operator (Guards and Technology) contracts and supplier management.
Rob holds a degree from Saint Mary’s in Sociology with a Criminology certificate. Through Cornell University he obtained a certificate in Project Leadership. He has completed the Operational Planning (OPP) and Joint Staff Operations (JSOP) courses through the Canadian Military College and taken numerous strategic and leadership courses through the Government of Canada. He is a current member of ASIS, CATAP and IAFCI. Rob has been a certified Project Manager through PMI since 2009.

Harry has 35 years of experience in security and business management. He is passionate about adding value for both clients and employees through a commitment to exceptional service, personal integrity, and responsibility. Harry started his career with a national private firm focused on security service integration, excelling in various operational positions before taking on challenging leadership roles.
Throughout his career, Harry has gained extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex security programs, while meeting and exceeding client expectations. In 2005 Harry co-founded Fusion Security, a full-service security company providing protective services and integrated security solutions to diverse clients. Fusion Security grew to be one of the largest, most respected security companies in BC, with a reputation for high quality products and service.
Fusion Security was acquired by SSRG in 2023 and Harry now oversees all SSRG’s systems integration business.
Director, QHSE
A highly regarded Senior Health and Safety Professional, James brings extensive operational experience in the oil and gas resource sector, specifically oil refining, steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) and contractor safety management.
He has overseen and led the development and implementation of safe work procedures and practices and compiled and reported statistics to the business units, clients and corporate offices. In addition, James has conducted various training sessions, audits, incident investigations, hazard assessments and claims management. James has managed direct field labour forces ranging up to 3000 employees and worked on both industrial facilities and commercial projects.
Industrial projects James has worked on have included operating petroleum processing facilities (conventional, completions, drilling, refineries & SAGD) and various “green field”/new construction projects from site development/earthworks, pipeline (over 600 km of piping installation) to commissioning and startup.
James holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Safety and Health (CSU) and is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) 14-5404 and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) 30107.
Director, Employee Services
Tara has 25 years of experience in the security industry. She started her career in Loss Prevention in Vancouver for one of the largest retailers in the world. She was then promoted to Regional Risk Manager for Asia-Pacific, based in Singapore. As head of security for many countries, she oversaw the building of new stores and distribution centres and implemented safety and security policies and procedures.
Tara was later Training & Communication Manager for the Global Risk Management team, based in Germany. She worked with stakeholders around the world to develop training programs and manuals and also supported the global emergency response team.
She was the National Director of Loss Prevention for another major retailer, conducting audits and investigations across Canada. Tara is a licenced private investigator and has experience as an intelligence analyst, specializing in open-source intelligence investigations.
Additionally, Tara has spent many years as a volunteer in BC’s prison and court systems. Tara holds an undergraduate degree in criminology at Simon Fraser University.
Director, Specialized Services
Glenn has been with SSRG since 2021 and prior to that served 33 years with the Ottawa Police Service, retiring as Inspector in charge of the Strategic Operations Centre. His extensive policing career includes a wide variety of operational leadership roles including Investigative Services, Critical Incident Command and a secondment to the United Nations Mission in Bosnia. For several years he was the senior leadership liaison to the city's five hospitals and was instrumental in facilitating relationships between marginalized communities and frontline officers. Glenn’s community volunteerism has been heavily focused on supporting youth, mental health, addictions and homelessness.
In his current role, Glenn is responsible for the overall leadership of the Specialized Services section, ensuring customer service excellence across the Enhanced Guarding, Close Protection, Investigations and Surveillance business lines.
Glenn holds a Bachelor of Policing Degree from Charles Sturt University, a Diploma in Law and Security from Loyalist College and several related certifications.
Director Business Development, Mining & Industrial
Yaser brings 20+ years of experience in leadership roles within the security industry in North America, Europe and Asia. Prior to joining SSRG, Yaser served as the Director of Operations at Dominion Diamond Corporation where he oversaw various aspects of global security including physical and electronic security, surveillance programs, risk mitigation, project management, business continuity, business Improvement processes, and high value logistics.
Yaser has ample experience working in remote areas across Northern Canada. He currently works with SSRG clients in the mining and industrial verticals to design and implement complex security solutions customized to meet their unique needs.
Director, Uniformed Guarding
Sean has several decades of experience in the security industry conducting and managing security operations in Canada, the United States and internationally.
Sean has successfully coordinated security programs for many different projects in the commercial, transportation, industrial, and retail sectors, including managing executive protection details for top Forbes List clients, celebrities and professional athletes.
He has extensive experience servicing corporate client security needs, major events and managing regional security programs.
Group Controller
With over 10 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, Heidi brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as Group Controller at SSRG.
Prior to joining SSRG, Heidi has worked for publicly traded companies in the manufacturing and consulting industries, with involvements in communicating financial results to the leadership team, building financial models, recommending strategies to exceed budget performance, streamlining processes, advising on internal controls, and mitigating financial risks.
Heidi holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, a CPA/CMA designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants Association, a Yellow Belt certification in Lean Management - Six Sigma, and most recently earned a designation in Financial Modeling and Business Valuation from the Corporate Finance Institute.
Heidi is detail-oriented, has a keen interest in financial analysis, and embraces collaboration.
